One of the main goals of our company is to offer innovative solutions to customers by providing high-quality products that meet international standards. Since 2007, we have been operating as the official distributor of a prestigious brand such as GEWISS Group, clearly demonstrating our commitment and professionalism in this partnership.
Who is GEWISS Group? - Historical Activity
Founded in 1970 based on a revolutionary vision of the use of technopolymers in electrical systems and built on the values of integrity, culture of excellence, and sustainability, GEWISS is currently a leading Italian company in the electrotechnical sector. The company has 6 production plants, 15 commercial/service companies, and a centralized logistics hub in Italy. It was founded by Cavaliere del Lavoro Domenico Bosatelli. “Gewiss” is derived from German and means “certainty”.
In its first decade, the company opened the Cenate Sopra plant in the province of Bergamo, and over the years this facility gradually expanded. In 1975, the company was transformed from a sole proprietorship into a joint-stock company.
In the 1980s, GEWISS’s offering evolved into a global system solution for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, expanding its catalog to 1,000 products. With the launch of the wiring accessories series, color and architectural style were added to lighting installations, transforming them from a technical element into a furniture accessory. In 1988, GEWISS was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
The 1990s began with the opening of the technology and production center in Cenate Sotto; during this decade, the company’s internationalization process began. The opening of new branches and acquisitions of European companies in the electrical engineering sector (Nowaplast, Schupa, Merz, and Mavil) led to the formation of the GEWISS Group.
The Logistics-Technology Center located in Calcinate has been operating since the early 2000s. Situated in a strategic position, this center allows coverage of the entire Central Europe within its radius. Over the decade, a new production line for compact circuit breakers and the Chorus international home automation system for Home and Building Automation were introduced.
In 2020, the success story continued with the 50th anniversary of GEWISS, a historic Italian brand in the electrotechnical sector producing solutions and products for home automation, energy, and lighting for residential, tertiary, and industrial sectors.
